Post Natal Yoga in English

About the class:
A gentle class for post-natal mums and non-crawling babies. Post-natal yoga is a great opportunity to gently heal and restore with a supportive and welcoming group of mums. No need for a baby-sitter – bring your little one for some mum-baby bonding.

Benefits of postnatal yoga include:
• Strengthening the back, abdominal and pelvic floor muscles
• Releasing tension in the neck and shoulders
• Improving posture
• Decreasing stress and promoting relaxation
• Rejuvenating the mind and increasing energy
• Building patience and inner-calm

When to Practice:
The first 6 weeks after birth are a time for bonding with your baby and for you to recover. By the end of the first 8 weeks you should be ready to return to your regular practice, but it is important to listen to what your body is ready to do. Women with a yoga practice prior to pregnancy should be careful and not rush back into their usual yoga practice. Consult your Frauenartzt/in for advice on when to resume practicing.

What to bring:
Comfortable clothes for movement. We have mats and props at the studio but feel free to bring your own mat if you prefer.

Trial price for first session: €10
Drop in: €14
2 class pack: €25
4 class card: €48

About the teacher:
Eleanor has been a keen yogi since starting out with Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga in 2005. After discovering the beautiful fluidity of Vinyasa Flow, she took her teacher training in Berlin, during which she became pregnant. Struck by how yoga complemented and supported her pregnancy, birth and early motherhood, she signed up for in-depth pregnancy yoga training soon afterwards. She loves sharing the benefits of yoga with others.
