About the class:
A gentle class for post-natal mums and non-crawling babies. Post-natal yoga is a great opportunity to gently heal and restore with a supportive and welcoming group of mums. No need for a baby-sitter – bring your little one for some mum-baby bonding.
Benefits of postnatal yoga include:
• Strengthening and restoring the back, abdominal and pelvic floor muscles
• Releasing tension in the neck and shoulders
• Improving posture
• Decreasing stress and promoting relaxation
• Rejuvenating the mind and increasing energy
• Building patience and inner-calm
When to Practice:
The first 6 weeks after birth are a time for bonding with your baby and for you to recover. By the end of the first 8 weeks you should be ready to return to your regular practice, but it is important to listen to what your body is ready to do. Women with a yoga practice prior to pregnancy should be careful and not rush back into their usual yoga practice. Consult your Frauenartzt/in for advice on when to resume practicing.
What to bring:
Comfortable clothes for movement. We have mats and props at the studio but feel free to bring your own mat if you prefer.
